6 Months Old Already

It's so hard to believe that 6 months have gone by already. What a joy this sweet little boy has been to so many people. He is very quick to smile and really enjoys seeing and touching new things (and, of course, putting everything in his mouth). We are looking forward to seeing more and more of his little personality show up as he grows and grows. We love you, Asher!

Fun with pictures

Aunt Karyne was over the other day with her camera and a special lens. These pictures were so great, I just had to share them. Enjoy!

Loving it!

Well, Asher sure is loving his exersaucer more and more these days. He has gotten so much better at playing in it since we first tried putting him in it 2 months ago! It's hard to believe it's been that long already. He is much stronger now and loves playing with all those toys that surround him. You also may notice his wet chin. Yup, he still drools a lot, but we still haven't seen any teeth. We think he may be getting much closer now, though...I guess we'll see.

I think Asher is becoming more of a ham in front of the camera now, too. It took a lot of tries before I finally got a picture of him actually PLAYING and not looking at the camera!

Is that a halo?

Many of you may be wondering if Asher is an angelic little boy, because it seems that he always has a halo over his head. Well, he IS a pretty good boy, but no, that's just his "fuzz" of hair that stands straight up on the crown of his head. :-)

A New Record!

Doesn't this little boy look well rested?! Asher set a new personal record last night when he slept for 12 1/2 hours in a row!! That was very exciting for his Mommy (as she caught 8 of those hours for her own sleep)! And you can be sure she will be encouraging that kind of behavior to become a habit!

Favorite toys

This little "ducky" or whatever you can call it, is one of Asher's favorite toys! It makes that "crinkle-y" noise when you hold it AND the feet are easy to put in your mouth! And boy does Asher LOVE to put things in his mouth! Sometimes when he grabs a hold of something he tries to shove it in his mouth so quickly it's almost as if he's starving and this is the only thing that will satisfy him! It's really funny to see. (still no teeth, yet, though I check every day for them!)

5 Months old

Wow, it's almost hard to believe that Asher is 5 months old already. In some ways the time has definitely flown by. In other ways, it seems like we've had this baby for a LONG time! There have been trials, but the blessing little Asher is to us far outweighs them. And I know the trials AND rewards will just keep getting greater and greater. It's amazing to think back just a few months ago when we didn't even know this little boy, yet. But what a blessing God has given us!

Not quite yet...

I was trying to get pictures of Asher sitting up by himself. He really can only do it for a second or 2, but I couldn't even get him to do that much while the camera was out. I just wanted to show everyone what a big boy he is at 5 months! I guess this feat will have to wait a little longer.

Fun with Friends

Asher and I went to visit our friends, Vanessa, Ana, and Bjorn. We had lots of fun there, and I just had to show Asher and Bjorn playing together. Bjorn was having a grand old time bouncing Asher, and Asher was loving it too!
